The Lantern is shining brightly, the doors are open, and the entire staff of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History enthusiastically awaits the opportunity to share our new 166,000-square-foot home with you.
In the links to the left you will find brief descriptions of all exhibits, astronomy programs and Omni IMAX films available for field trips, along with our Discovery Labs on Wheels, Astronomy on Wheels, and Distance Learning outreach opportunities. We also offer a variety of professional development services for educators. Exhibit and Noble Planetarium field trips are available beginning Feb. 8, 2010. Omni field trips and all other outreach programs are available now.

LUNCH INFORMATION
Does your visit encompass “lunchtime?”
All sack lunches should remain on your bus until your group is ready for their lunches The museum does not have a storage area for sack lunches
Your group is welcome to picnic on any of the exterior grassy areas adjacent to the museum and the exterior Stars Café Terrace. These areas are available daily on a first come, first served basis
In the event of inclement weather, the museum will attempt to accommodate your group’s lunch inside the Museum. Upon arrival, a sign-up sheet will be provided listing available lunch times within the limited space in the museum. Please note, the available interior spaces are very limited and these spaces/lunch timeslots will be available day-of on a first come, first served basis. Please inquire about these timeslot/location options upon arrival in the event your visit falls upon an inclement weather day.
HOME SCHOOL
Home school groups are invited to participate in all programs. Contact Group Services at least two weeks in advance at 817-255-9440. Home school educators are welcome to attend educator preview events and Saturday Educator Workshops.
