When established in 1941, the Museum was the first children's museum in Texas and one of the first children's museums in the nation.
DESIGNER
For the first few months, the Designer Studio will have a slightly different look from the other studios due to the ceiling installation of a black light wheel. This atmosphere is perfect for explorations with light, shadow, and color. Guests can create moving sculptures and interesting light designs at the Light Island area or build beautiful translucent structures on the light table. Other special activities will include explorations with ice balloons, black lights and glow-in-the dark materials and making shadow puppets.
