Remember your favorite toy when you were young? Toys represent the child in all of us, and also recall the Museum’s origins as a place of learning for children. Particular toys evoke powerful memories of our youth. The toys in the Vintage Toys display span time, revealing diverse building materials, evolving technology, and ever-changing popular tastes. What one-generation finds enjoyable is inevitably different for the next, and new toys emerge to satisfy creative outlets. These toys should remind you of your childhood and of happy days past.

Fun Fact

For almost 20 years, the Museum has partnered with Southern Methodist University faculty on important paleontological work: from excavating bones and fossils at sites in Texas to preparing the fossils for research and exhibitions.
