MOBILE NOBLE PLANETARIUM: BRINGING THE UNIVERSE TO YOU!
Bring the universe to your classroom through the Museum’s Mobile Noble Planetarium. Our planetarium staff will interact with your students to provide a grade-appropriate look at the current sky, with plenty of time for questions from your students and hands-on activities. Travel through space and unleash your student’s imagination!

Adapted to your grade level to present the beautiful constellations available in the night sky at the time of your visit. Our staff can’t wait to tell the stories that have come to us from prior civilizations still sparking imaginations today! Special astronomy events at the time of your visit will also be covered.

Take a journey with our captain through the planets, sun, moons, rings, asteroids that make up our incredible solar system!
Sun-Earth-Moon Connections

Seasons, lunar rotation and phases, the sun and solar phenomena, auroras, gravity, comparative sizes and distances of objects in our solar system, meteorites, and all the important elements of earth and its closest neighbors will be presented to your students.
Two Small Pieces of Glass

Celebrate 400 years of using the telescope. Students will learn how this wonderful instrument has helped us understand our place in space.
IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System
Grade Level: 9-12

Launched in 2008, this mission is providing amazing data about the dynamics of the outer heliosphere, where the hot solar wind slams into the cold expanse of space. This special boundary shields Earth from most galactic cosmic ray radiation. IBEX’s data has provided the data for an amazing sky map of our solar system.
